Senate passes Republican budget with deep safety net cuts

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Senate passed a Republican-authored budget plan early on Friday that seeks $5.1 trillion in domestic spending cuts over 10 years while boosting military funding.The 52-46 vote


Senate passes balanced budget for a stronger America : $5,100,000,000,000 (-$5.1 tril) in domestic spending cuts while increasing military expenditures by $38,000,000,000 ($38 bil) over 10 years.  The bill passes 52-46 with Rand Paul and Ted Cruz voting against it.
