He found that between 5 and 20 per cent of that revenue, or Bt2 billion to Bt8 billion, was paid as bribes to corrupt police officers."
Every year, there are big police "busts" that make the news, but it seems like nothing actually happens. The places stay closed for a few days or a few weeks and resume operations, seemingly unchanged.
